It sounds like two different things have happened here that you are both responsible for.

You hung out with him twice. To you it may have been just that. To him they may have been dates. You seem like a really nice person and many are gonna take being nice and hanging out as girlfriend potential.

Where I think you were a little responsible is when you didn't call him and tell him you're not interested in him. From his point of view he met a great girl that likes him. You not returning his phone calls in his optimistic mind just mean you were or are too busy to get back to him. Expecting people to get the point in a situation like this is like asking them to read your mind. I'm not trying to say that you led him on or anything. I'm just saying that's how dating someone usually starts. You meet them, you hand out and you have fun.

However, if he did call repeated for days and you never called him back it should be common sense that you're not interested. But one, common sense isn't that common and two, common sense plays no part whatsoever in dating and liking someone.

I think you mentioned in one of your posts that you have now told him that you're not interested. That's good. If he keeps calling, write down the time he calls and what was said. If you have a voice mail or answering machine than save the tapes, call the police and make a report for "Annoying Phone Calls". I know in California its section 653m of the penal code and it's a misdemeanor unless he threatens you in some way and you believe that he has the ability to carry out the threat. Than it's called Terrorists threats and it's a felony.

Something similar happened to a girlfriend of mine. The cops took the report as a misdemeanor. The guy threatened to kill her. I went to the police station with her and a copy of the answering machine tapes. They changed it to terrorist threats and he was picked up in a day and arrested.

Remember if you can't prove it than in the eyes of the court, it never happened. So protect yourself.

Good luck and I hope it all works out well for you. I'm sure he just wasn't getting the hint and all will be well.
