Porn is just like any other industry... when the economy isn't doing so hot, things tend to consolidate and the bottom producers get squeezed out. I'd hazard a guess that most of the complaints you're seeing are the newcomers looking for the quick buck they heard you could make (like back in 1997 or something) or the ones who lack hussle and business acumen to stay strong in the game. In the end, the industry will is better off culling out the weaker elements.
And I'm doing just fine, thanks. Not making $300k/month (where do you sign up to get THAT job?
) but surviving comfortably enough. With a little hard work and some good partnerships, this will be another banner year!
