not like Phil Mickelson the golfer needed any more money but he did pretty well on 2 longshots in the past...

"Granted, professional golfer Phil Mickelson has more than the usual amount of fun-money folded in his wallet. But if his golf game ever leaves him, he likely could make a living in Las Vegas.

Mickelson, who lives in Arizona, put down $20,000 before the baseball season on 35-1 odds that the Diamondbacks would win the World Series, according to Web site Business 2.0. He won $700,000 on that one, but it wasn't the first time a champion had paid off for him. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, he bet $20,000 before the 2000 NFL season on 28-1 odds that the Baltimore Ravens would win the Super Bowl. Mickelson collected $560,000. "
