A central Texas couple is in jail, accused of forcing their daughter to perform sexual acts. Those acts were then allegedly shown on the internet.

This story's unfolding in the small town of Elgin, in Bastrop County.

Investigators say the 10-year old girl was forced to have sex with her stepfather. Cameras then broadcast the images live over the internet. David Alexander Farris was arrested for sexual assault of a child. His common-law wife, 35 year-old Carol Barron, is the girl's mother. She's also in jail, charged with child endangerment.

Investigators say both Farris and the 10 year-old were nude in a live internet chatroom with someone from Maryland. That person then asked for a phone number, and called police.

The couple's three children are now staying in the custody of Child Protective Services.
