Now here's an interesting quote:
"Looking for better fraud control with your affiliate program? Let's talk about ePassporte. As a matter of fact, the company below pays affiliates with ePassporte."
Fraud control, thats a laugh. Try this on for size.
December 24 I'm working in the office & I start receiving blank emails from bluex934 at yahoo.com, 6 in all, sent to my epassporte account.
Then 2 emails from davidpebay at homail.com saying I had beeen sent an ecard from BlueMountain.com.
Then emails from epassporte confirming reloads from my bank account to my eP account.
First one for $300 than 3 more for $50 one after another.
I did not make these reloads.
Next email tells me bluex930 has set up an eP account & transfered the money into it from my account.
Excellent, my account has been hacked & this asshole is draining my bank account $50 at at time.
A phone call to eP demanding action & an explanation of WTF is going on.
They issue a new password that doesnt work.
Another phonecall requesting a new password.
5 more emails with passwords arrive with a minute or so, the second last of which actually works.
I get into my account & the PIN on my electron card has been changed by the hacker and the card is blocked.
Next I receive 4 emails from eP informingh me that my account is under suspension because of suspected fraud.
There is nothing suspect about it, it is deliberate fraud.
While in my account I send an email to eP requesting my card be unblocked.
I receive an email back saying ' for security reasons only emails sent from within the eP site will be responded to'.
I send one back telling the to read the bloody headers on my email to them( I sent a BCC to myself):
Received: from mail.epassporte.com (mail.epassporte [127.0.0.1])
by mail.epassporte.com (Postfix) with SMTP
id 4A0DB1A848; Sun, 4 Jan 2004 02:34:04 -0800 (PST)
This draws the same response again !
My bank refunded the stolen money to me & 3 days later my account was hacked again with the new eP password.
Somedody called sexzityl has sent himself $152.30 from my account without my authority.
Another phonecall to eP, this time no response in 3 days then I get an email saying my password has changed again.
Another email tells me my card has been unblocked but the password does not work now when I try to check if the card is unblocked or not.
Unrequested, I receive 2 more passwords, one of which works the first time I use it then is dead on the second try.
Still can't get into my eP account, no further response from eP about this unbelieveable bloody mess, my card may or may not be blocked & the $150.30 is still to be refunded to me.
Not bad for a couple of weeks action on my eP account.
So be warned: this is how easy it is to have your account hacked & once somebody is in your account that have complete details of your bank account and your linked visa card.
Simply by 'reloading' time after time they can drain your personal bank account with ease.
