me neither, if someone is fleeing genuine persecution then fair enough, we should and always have given them sanctuary in the UK. however i would bet that it's only a tiny fraction that are in that situation. it's mainly ecconomic migrants, i don't blame them if i was young and lived in a poor country, i would do my best to get to a rich country like the US or UK. but if they are ecconomic migrants then we should be picky and only accept people with skills that are in short supply like doctors etc.
