I have several regular bird feeders and I put up the hummingbird feeders during the spring and summer. I get cardinals, titmouse, blue jays, chickadees, sparrows, and sometimes finches and other song birds. My trees are loaded with 3-4 different kinds of woodpeckers also.
If you're having a problem with squirrels, try safflower seeds. My squirrels WILL eat them, but they don't like them as much as regular bird food.

Apparently the 1 billion acorns the squirrels buried over the fall are running out as they've been hitting the feeders over the past week more than usual.
The raccoons and deer also get into the feeders, but the black bears are asleep until the spring. They also don't like the safflower seeds very much, so I don't have to bring my feeders in every night like I did with the regular food.
