FBI Warns Of E-Mail Scam

WASHINGTON -- The FBI is warning the public about an e-mail hoax.
The agency says someone is sending out an e-mail that claims to be from the FBI. The subject line on the e-mail says something like "Your I.P. was logged." IP stands for Internet Protocal address, a type of online address.
The e-mail warns computer users about illegally downloading movies and software and claims the FBI is investigating the receiver.
The agency said the e-mail is fake and wants anyone who may have received the spam to contact the bureau.
