What I love about the Fallout games:
I like the role-playing-games to start with... but fallout brings something extra to the table, something undefined. The story setting is awesome for one thing... you're in an underground vault, it is 80 years after a major nuclear war has wiped out the planet, and your vault needs an electronic chip so it can continue to have fresh drinking water. You must go out into the wastes and find a new chip........ and the outside world is brutal. Imagine it... mutated beings, desert raiders, lawless towns.... and you have to talk to people, investigate, even get a job in some cases..... in order to win. Some of the new games on the market take a few hours to play... fallout can take weeks. Fallout 2 is even bigger, with more quests and adventures. Fallout Tactics... not an RPG, but continues the Fallout storyline which I love.
I highly recommend all three Fallout titles.
