So many people want something for nothing. Our affiliates can attest that we went WAY above the call of duty in rewarding people for sending traffic last year. How many other companies did you see putting 50+ webmasters up in stunt flights, flying webmasters to cities to party, giving 10% bonus months, $1,000 bonuses to the top senders to each of their sites, letting you swim with the dolphins, handing out dozens of $100+ jerseys, paying for huge open parties, paying out on 100% bonus months, etc, etc, etc... Many of our promotions were aimed at the little guy as well as the big guy.
This is different. I'm fishing and I want to land a whale. I'm using $1000 as bait. If they bite and send traffic they will get two rewards.
1) They find out how fucking awesome our conversion ratios and retention is and what a good idea it is to send their traffic to us.
2) They might get a bonus of $1000 on top of the money they already made with us (which is better than a kick in the ass!)
$1000 is really small change to the people I am after, but it gets more attention than me saying "Who wants me to give them $10?".

Bro dont get me wrong I understand what your saying and what your trying to do ... It is basic marketing ... an attempt at getting affilates to check you guys out... Plus i gotta give you guys ALOT of credit for posting some ratio's that look half as true unlike many many sponsors who swear all there sites convert 1:80 with unfiltered tgp traffic or whatever .....
But do you understand what I'm saying at all ? Alot of contest I see it is " OUr top affilates will get .... " " Every sign up you send is one entry ( with no cap ) " .... Yeah you guys throw alot of party s... but for your webmasters who can afford to fly there selfs out there to the party .... YOu guys are a great company not putting ya down at all just saying ... LIl guys are over looked so much. I recently ran a contest on netpond for a company as a promo and it was meant for EVERYONE .. all they had to do was be an affilate and send atleast 1 hit a day... Contest went over pretty well and everyone ended up happy
But I'm glad to read that lightspeed just isnt paying you commison lol had my scared for a minute
