Fat ass trucker pissed over being fired - couldn't fit in new, smaller truck
412-Pound Trucker Says He Was Fired Over His Weight
POSTED: 6:36 a.m. EST January 20, 2004
ST. LOUIS -- A truck driver who says he was fired because of his weight says he's ready to go to court to get his job back.
Walter Geter weighs 412 pounds and says he has an impeccable driving record -- with the safety awards to prove it. He's fit his frame inside the cab of long-haul rigs for three decades.
But last week, the suburban St. Louis man says his employer asked him to start driving a smaller truck. He didn't fit in the cab and was let go.
Now he's filed a grievance with his union. He says his size should be no surprise to his bosses -- he's been this big for years.
The company -- USF Holland -- isn't commenting.
