the "month" thingy seems kind of dumb to me - if you want to learn about cultural heritage you should learn about it whenever you want, not during the course of one particular month of the year yea ... sort of racist (in the affirmative action kind of way) that their arent these "months" for other minorities, or crackers like me for that matter.

I for one fully support MLK Day (im a white dude). This guy was a bad mofo - i dont want to think of what kind of world it would be without him having lived. Its sad enough to see it in pictures and hear about it from my grandmother.

I agree with the essence of your statement that the minority holidays are not equally dispersed - but this is not just some holiday for blacks. This was a dude that changed America for the better, and will be in history books 1000 years from now. I consider it a holiday for myself too, and im celebrating it
