eros, i use a heat pack on my neck and back often when im working, it helps, also i lie on my back on the ground a lot, it relaxes the muscles. just make sure you walk to the shops or around the block or something a few times a day, keeps your muscles a bit looser. i have lots of back/neck problems though. i used to play a lot of basketball and the phsios have told me i wont be physically able to play by the time im 24, we will see though.
