Actually..what you posted is another one of those "urban myths".
#1..you do not eliminate carbs. For the first 2-3 weeks, you try to limit your carb intake fairly dramatically to get your system into burning up fat instead of carbs. But you still eat carbs. But you try and eat HEALTHY carbs..not starchy stuff like potatos and bread.
Asaparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans are some good examples of healthy carbs.
And another myth..is that you can only eat meat...no, you can eat fish, nuts, cheese, etc..those things high in PROTEIN and low in carbs.
