Sure, it was both ways... If you were a provider that HAD cogent, then you loved them and you would be confronted with customers who were scared of them because they had talked to other providers who didn't have access to cogent, or had long term commitments with their current IP providers and knew they couldn't compete when they heard the word "Cogent" so the only thing they could do was talk shit & use scare tactics.
(heey that almost sounds like an analogy.)
Either way.... my point was simply this:
You said you find it funny how people can get so bent out of shape over "a word" - because that word means dick to you.
If it were a word you could relate to, understand, or meant something to you, then it would be a different story & you might get bent out of shape about it.
And I'm sure you have black friends yadda yadda... show them richies post & tell them you fail to see a problem because its just a word.
