Heh... sorry, I thought this was pretty funny... We have 2 labs, and one of them just loves food so much... it's a true love, a pure love... and she is prone to weight problems. One night I looked down at her and said "Well, at least we'll never starve, we can always eat you." She knows the word 'eat' and started to jump straight up into the air, all 85 pounds of her, all 4 legs off the floor. We like to joke that she likes food so much that she was even excited at the prospect of eating - herself!

On topic, though - adopt that dog! I looked at the pic and thought immediately 'what a cutie.' She's got that 'I love you' kind of face.
