Never said that $400 wasn't a fair price..
what I said was people would balk at spending $400 on a $200 xbox..
instead, they'd try to figure out how to do it..
as for the roms...
the current mame package is 8gb... found easily
the current SNES package is 5 gigs, found easily
the current c64 package is 600 megs, also easy
the current NES package is 2 gigs...
unfortunately, if anybody takes the time to look on the net, they'll find 'em within 5 minutes

You MAY find a $60 profit... especially since if you know where to look, you can get WD 120gb 8 meg cache harddrives for $60
X2.3 modchip for $40..
just hope you don't running into HD locking problems or accidently fry an xbox soldering it in
(or, if you use a non-solder, providing warranty when they accidently shake the pogopins loose )
