Don't know for sure what mama sent you...but products like Anbesol, Solarcaine, etc. all contain a LOCAL anesthetic called Benzocaine. It has no systemic effect on a person, so sticking Anbesol up your nose won't fuck you up or make you wasted. It will numb the inside of your nose for about 15 minutes and then it's back to reality. (i.e. you'll be "unnumb")
Maybe mom sent you something different that did mess you up...I don't know, but the OTC products like Anbesol won't get you high no matter what part of your body you stick it on.
