According to the hairdresser guy on queer eye for the straight guy, use hot water, a moisturizing oil, a good shaving cream worked in with a brush (the brush will get the hairs to stand up better), and shave slowly WITH the grain of the hair.
Everytime he mentions going with the grain of the hair my hubby goes ballistic and starts raving like an idiot, as if the tv can hear him... but then again my hubby has a razor-burned neck with stubble and the dude on QE has stubble-free skin all the time.
