I've seen member's area of a few non-trial offering sites and believe they are mostly those sites that believe they couldn't convince members to go from trial to monthly. But ofcourse there are good sites out there too not offering trials but very few. Unless the site is rare niche or some cases all exclusive (with high quality content) and low monthly rates, I believe it'd be rather hard to convert without trial.
