I work in the media during the week. That banner has created more talkability than any other over the last few weeks. Everyone knows who the sponsor is.
In TV / Radio the most annonying / worst tv commercials are almost always the most remembered. Thats why clients still like awful 80's jingles.
People say they will boycott sponsors because of an ad, but most never do. At the end of the day it comes down to cash and what they offer. But you would never have started this thread and given them MORE publicity if it was just another banner ad....
