Sure it's "pranksters", it's the pimply faced youth at the cash register.

The transceiver is only about 100' away at these things and
they don't operate on a frequency you normally buy a kit for.

You need to know the frequency and you need to over power
the in store reciever by a sizable chunk to high jack the FM sync.
