One of my machines appears to have died for the first time in about 18 months, and the hosting company wants $60 for an immediate reboot, or they can reboot it during business hours for nothing.
Is this a reasonable fee? The odd thing is that they say they have their own data centre, so I guess the 24/7 NOC must be located elsewhere... or maybe they just think that desperate customers will pay the reboot fee regardless.
The plan I'm on is a very low priced and specced server, $35/mo for a P133 (yes, Pentium 133

) with 64Mb RAM, 2Gb HD and 5Gb of transfer. I'm using it as a backup name server, but after the mention of the $60 fee I'm starting to wonder whether it's even worth it... may as well just get a fully blown server elsewhere and do something else useful with it.
