a). IMHO: Check out the site before you decide if the content isn't what's displayed on the cereal box. Mens-Network has a model's section with all of our models galleries and photo shoots - along with a heap of other stuff - and when was the last time you bought a magazine that showed off the content of every article on the cover. Even then you had to look inside to see what was there.
b). I've not worked for Darren for long, but I have worked for him long enough to know that he's good people and he has an excellent reputation in the industry. He does have a direct style, so if you don't appreciate a spade being called a spade, don't apply, but if you can take direct praise and criticism and your work is up to scratch, I'll vouch that he's good people to work for. It's not a fault to expect high standards, you should expect that of yourself, and of your team - otherwise what have you got?
