yea, programming can be learned at home.
but actually Computer Science requires more academic studying.
If u study in a serious Computer Science program in a respectable college, you find that they actually leave out most subjects that people can learn just by themselves. There is a reason why most textbooks are special ordered and you can't find them in Barnes&Noble's.
