It is you that is not understanding. My point is that you have made a decision that has effected all of your affiliates. Whether you wish to say "we settled but we hate acacia" or "we settled and we love acacia" is irrelevant. It is your actions of choosing not to fight which reflects on all your affiliates. Now if affiliates push your program, they have also chosen to give up on fighting Acacia and just settle.
I am not debating whether this was a good business decision or not, or what I would do in your place. I am showing that AsylumN made a good point when he said:
