You have really to think about some laws in the states regarding weapons. The very intersting part was also, that on the opposite site of Detroit, at the Canadian part a city (do not remeber the name of it but has about 400.000 inhabitants) has just 1 murder within the last 3 years. How many people are killed in Detroit every day?
