On every items that you buy in Quebec you pay a 7% taxes to the federal, a 7% taxes on the provincial (Except certain items).
The salarial taxes are really the killer...
Other provinces usually rely more on the federal taxes, but some others have also their own item/annual taxes like Quebec.
