federal guidelines?
you're misguided
before Sept 11th airport security was handled by private companies and lots and lots of illegal immigrants who made for a cheap workforce.
in 1995 i was missing my flight in Dallas so i ran towards the gate thru the exit doors. what do you think the security guards did? nothing kept chatting to each other and just asked where i was going. didn't check me or anything
in 1998 on atlanta airport we went down to the bottom floor so my friend can have a smoke. it was part of old airport and it wasn't used much same level as the tarmak. there was a door and i opened it, guess where i wandered off to? the tarmak, and walked around a 747 while it was being loaded with fuel and food. no one stopped me, and they saw me, i looked like a tourist, everyone just went by their business like i wasn't there.
and if you think the federal guidelines are better now, not so. those fingerpirnts they are collecting today won't do much, because the hijackers didn't have a record and it would have been pointless to have their fingerprints. they are also not checking all bags that go on the aircraft, and as we know it takes one of the wrong packages to end up on a flight...
