Most sponsors are smart, yes, names that are not of the "Granny's Fist Fucking Bucks" sort. But some aren't so smart. Then there is the issue of who the address gets out to and what they will send to you. Even with the vaguest name it is fairly simple for anyone over twelve to type the company name appearing on the outside of the check in Google and see what appears. Then there is the accidental delivery to your neighbor problem. And the legal and tax issues pertaining to seperation of business and personal assets.
For me, I won't be using my home address for anything adult (or even business - I do mainstream too) related and if that means avoiding a sponsor, so be it. I find the rule to be stupid, of course others are free to disagree with me. No problem, you know? Have a happy new year.
