I think you can't blame the owners/webmasters of these sites for anything. They just offering a service, it's the users that abuse the services and it's quite impossible for parties offering such services to scan all the content.

The effort you have to put in to track down stealing users is a waste of time in my opinion. And I believe the best thing is to see content stealing as a 'compliment', just be sure that your content contains your urls and it even can be free advertisement ;)

There might be some options to make contenttheft harder (or easier to track down the guilty members), but I have to look a little more into the subject to see if it's an option to use in a real life production environment.

If someone's interested in this, I'll put some time into it.
