Done them both. Brazil is awesome, lived in Thailand for 10 years and just got back after another 50 days there. Been to Brazil a couple times, definately will go back.
To optimize your profits, the US is the only place to be as far as High Speed Internet is concerned. Whatever you are willing to spend and housing is nominally priced for beach front property here in Florida.
After returning from Thailand and being chocked to death with thier so called high speed internet, I can safely say it's good to be back home. Don't get me wrong, Thailand is good but only for a couple of weeks.
Brazil on the other hand had excellent Internet and beautiful women at a cheap price. Rio is a must see place.
