Porn sites are very much saturated on the market, and so clever webmasters may want to diversify.
Porn on the net works well as it satisfied many wants and needs, such as:
* Availability
* Cost
* Ease of access
* Available any time
Even today the 'old boys' of porn seem to fail to understand the net (Playboy, Penthouse), while the little man has jumped in and done what the big boys should have.
So how about music? Record firms are failing both consumer and the musicians. They produce overpriced CD's and only what they feel will sell. This leaves many bands unable to sell, and those that do may only sell the odd single.
So why not the webmaster jump in. With MP3 files being not much bigger than photographs, and yet produce high quality sound. Why not sell files from your site the same way as porn?
It would seem sensible for small record studios to set them selves up as content producers, recording records then selling them to websites.
In the same way as you get different porn sites (i.e. bondage, young, Asian and so on), why not the same for music sites (i.e., 80's, pop, rock, punk and so on).
Plus as music is not a problem for most countries, one would think webmasters would have an easer time legally.

I think it is a really good idea, but you have to create a sort of hub, a site so big and so rich in new bands and artists that captures the visitors. If you can create a brand then maybe you have some chance to win.
