Would you please give us a little insite to how you figure out a price for Men.com?
And what way are you planning on taking it...for revenue?

We did some test runs on it earlier this year and it ran 5,000 to 10,000 type- ins per day.
It gets about 2/3rd gay traffic and 1/3rd straight male and female traffic.
On the tests we did we got the revs just from type-ins to about .10 cents per visitor which is above the norm.
So at $1.3 Mil it will yield a 14% ROI without doing any work on it which is also nice if you are looking at like a real estate deal which is how we did. That's works the price out to about 7 times earnings with just minimal work to boost the traffic.
We also figured a domain of that calibre is like a piece of prime property. The value is relatively safe at that price point and should only go up as the Net continues to develop. Even if the value dropped with another market fallout, it wouldn't be hard to up the income to restore it to at least what we paid for it.
So in terms of risk, there's not much when you buy a real quality domain or piece of real estate.
Our plans are to get the traffic into the mid 7 figures per day. At that point it will be generating healthy revenues and the price we paid will be a bargain.
My partner is very big in the music and entertainment industry so we're going to bring in some celebs featured as Man of the Month type of thing to get lots of media attention for it.
Also going to do calendars, retail products, and build out a lot of other domains off of that.
So even though its a lot of money to pay for a domain clearly, it will undoubtably be one of the finest investments I've ever made looking back a couple years from now.
