Both Dish Network & Direct TV suck during heavy rain & cloud cover. Loose signal in and out, it's a pain in the ass! I grew up where a dish was the only alternative so I know 1st hand. Even had sattelite 2-way internet.
I have never been so happy with my fast cable internet and digital on demand cable.

I agree with ya on that. I have Charter Digital service in my area and it ROCKS. A nice fast internet connection and all of my channels.
IF you have cable modem access rite now, you might wanna check with your cable company before ya go because I know that Charter will charge you like $10 for your cable modem IF you don't have their cable television.
One other thing to keep in mind is that places like Direct TV will lock you into a 1 or 2 year contract, so once you sign on the dotted line and if you don't like it, you're fucked paying extra money to get outta it.
