Considering that Alberta supplies themselves, half the country of Canada and a SHITLOAD of exports to the US, I would say that maturing enough beef to meet demand isn't a problem. When I say tens of thousands of head of cattle I do mean that quite literally. There are some farms up there than have over a million head, and there is SO much prairie it's not a problem. The HUGE problem is with animals that are born and raised in slaughterhouses and fed all that crap. Honestly, they don't really need it, in fact, the results are much better without it.
