First, I must say that is a very harsh sentence for your friend. Very sad, especially since he is so young.

No fucking symathy at all. He KNEW FULL WELL if he stole that pizza and got caught it would be his 3rd strike. He is the idiot, so all I can say is boo-fucking-hoo!
Some guy my mom was friends with when I was a kid, robbed a bank with a few friends. It was really weird, because he was the nicest guy you could ever meet. Anyway, the cops came, he freaked, shot and killed a cop. He got the chair. As nice as he was, and as sad as it was that he got caught up in all that.....he deserved every watt of electricity that went through his body. We all know there is a risk in being ANY kind of criminal.
