$50,000 settlement in Victoria Zdrok porn lawsuit

A trial over porn profits ended yesterday with both sides grudgingly accepting a settlement.

Victoria Zdrok, 30, of Pompton Lakes, N.J., agreed to make a onetime - and final - payment of $50,000 to her ex-husband, Alexander Zdrok, 52, of Wayne.

Alexander Zdrok, a lawyer disbarred by the state Supreme Court in 1991, sued his former wife in January 2001, alleging that she reneged on a 10-year agreement to pay him 15 percent of her modeling revenues.

He said he deserved the money because he helped launch her lucrative career, which has included spreads in Playboy and Penthouse magazines, movies such as Centerfold Coeds, and a Web site that has boasted up to 1,000 subscribers who pay about $25 a month.

Victoria Zdrok was 17 when the two married in 1990, beginning a six-year union that initially enabled her to avoid returning to Ukraine.

Playboy's Miss October 1994 said she was bullied into signing the 1996 property agreement in Paoli. She said she felt threatened by the Mafia connections of her former spouse, who served as mob boss John Stanfa's attorney for years.

Facing the need to repay $120,000 in student loans - she obtained a law degree from Villanova and a graduate psychology degree from Hahnemann - she said she decided "to make the most" of her adult modeling career.

Her mother, who is married to her ex-husband's brother, supports herself in part by selling items such as her daughter's lingerie on eBay, according to testimony.

And Victoria Zdrok's Web site has a link to a similar one for her sister, Tatiana.

It's a family business.
