I dated a 16-almost 17 yr old guy when I was 18 but he lied about his age, he told me he was 17. his parents knew and didn't care. The cops knew too and did not care. Perhaps they did not care because I was female and not the other way around?
The cops found out because my ex was a gangbanger (back then) and got arrested for conspiracy for murder and they pulled us over on the freeway and interrogated both of us for hours with no attorneys present. They did ask him briefly why he was dating an older girl and he replied "because I'm a mack". The cops were more concerned about his criminal activities, they could have cared less that I was older. My ex went to jail for almost 7 yrs and he was tried as an adult, I doubt the cops thought that I actually took advantage of him, more like the other way around, even though he was younger.
This was over 7 years ago, btw. He's out now.
