12 year olds don't have the same rights as 18 year olds because they aren't of legal age. Therefore they can't decide, their parents can. So if you're a 50 year old who loves an 18 year old, then nobody can tell you jack.
If you were muslim, Indian or a gipsy and you're a girl you get married at 14.
Some gypsies around my area traded their daughters at 12 and have them marry another boy (most were 17-18)
