One of my employees tipped me off about a new service that yahoo is offering called paydirect, a paypal type alternative.

Sounded good so I go on over to yahoo and look it up.

So far so good, wait I have to enter my yahoo id and password (the same one I haven't used for years) so I spend thirty minutes looking that up, getting passwords sent etc. I finally get in and start to verify my info, then I start to link our business credit card to the account. It doesn't have a place for tax id number just social. I don't want to do this but I go ahead and give them the social and cc info and submit and sure enough it doesn't match and they give me a letter to fax or email to them as well as a phone number.
So I go ahead and call and tell them I'm trying to link our business card to the account and they say it is just going to be for personal transfers and businesses would not be allowed to use the service. I started to remark but didn't I just said thank you.
They are not going to take a bite out of anyone's ass if they do not allow businesses to use the service. They are kidding themselves if they think otherwise. What percentage of paypal users are only sending money for personal reasons? I bet it is something like 80% or more of small businesses that use paypal. If they are smart they have every dime they have been charged and collecting it on their taxes.
ANYWAY, don't waste your time unless you want to use it for personal reasons. BTW their phone number is 1-408-349-3335, that way you don't have to go through the same damn hoops I did just to find out it was a waste of my time.
