A fact you say. You must be fucking kidding me! You were being sarcastic I hope. Before the decay of the Roman Empire they were as wealthy and powerful as no country will ever be now and in the future. No, they did not have Nukes, but if you are comparing the weapon arsenal of the US now and the Roman Empire then there is something seriously wrong with you because the forces of the Roman Empire were in comparison much bigger then any other at that time. Much bigger then the US compared to other nations at this day.

I did not work out good. Because of corruption and bad leadership the empire fell into decay.
