Will google's stock going public send it down a slippery slope?

I'd love to hear anyones predections on this, yes I know its been discussed before but the signs are becoming harder to ignore.

There have been major changes to adwords causing many of us to watch our traffic flows slip while the CPC increases.

It also appears the googles results seem more randomized and listings for some terms shuffle dramatically on a daily basis.

Then theres this foreboding ad slipping into the results of every search.

Pleasing shareholders WILL have a dramatic effect on the way google runs its business.

The sky is falling.... discuss.
