The comus thumbs script claims that it searches for brighter skin areas and crops them out. This is the coolest thing I have ever heard. I've never seen it work but if it does that would be great. It relies on photographers to know what they're doing though (and to not shoot on white leather couches). I once mentioned implementing something like this as a joke before realizing that comus actually tried it. Bravo.
