Yeah, the whole Haliburton thing reaks of being tied in to politics... however you're not looking at the most recent development objectively ... but rather just reading what you want to see.

Also, according to 2 sources, Haliburton didn't profit from the price hike.
Nonetheless it doesn't take a genius to make the connection between their preferential contract status and Cheney's involvement.
