Canada was not "banned" per se. What occured was that all of the canadian banks that had been formerly processing high-risk decided that they would no longer underwrite high-risk adult merchant accounts. (so much for the "liberal" Canadian views!).
Because of the Visa regulations regarding cross-border acquiring, this meant that in order to be underwritten, adult merchants in Canada need to incorporate in a Visa region that still processes adult....the US, EU, Carribean and South American, Asia, etc...
It was up to the Canadian acquiring banks to come to this decision and it will be up to them to change it.
