As I said, while I understand the anger, if the original post wasn't bullshit, I think the response was probably a little much.
I say that as a father, who really would kill someone who raped or molested my child.
For me, violence is an all the way thing, or not at all. I have to have a HELL of a good reason to get involved on a physical level. Calling me names, my wife names, blah, blah, blah - that's just not going to get a rise out of me. I have better things to do than travel back in time to high school.
Actual harm has to either have been done, or really be about to BE done, before I think beating someone near to death is called for. And then, geez, why stop halfway?
