What would you do if your own affiliate program was accused of shaving / fraud?
To bring up the most recent case of this I would have to bring up PIBCash and the allegations against them of shaving.
The screenshot looks real, of course a point that HTML code can simply be modified to look however and make a company look as if it is shaving.
What would you do if the company you've built fom the ground up was just publically (and convincingly) was accused of fraud?
My own feelings is I'd be on the phone with lawyers and planning damage contol immediately, that is if I was innocent. Knowing that I would be, I would then proceed with nice letters from my lawyer to the accuser and immediately be releasing any and all information and/or access to statistics/figures to certain neutrally trusted individuals in the industry.
Do you think a program could recover from such a legitimate looking claim?
What's even stopping a company from "fixing" their statistics to seem proper after-the-fact if they were indeed conducting fraud?
Just a little blurp and thoughts I had.
Cheers,
Matt
