Alice N Chains sucked live before they got their record contract (played like a punk band, looked like a glam band). I always like Mother Love Bone which turned into Green River which turned into Perl Jam (never heard of Mooky Blailock).

Seattle was pretty cool in the 90s during the music scene. I used to go drinking with Jimi Hendrix dad Al and brother at a motorcycle bar down in Renton. Lived just 3 houses from Anthony (Sir-Mix-Alot). I still have a recording studio up there.
My wife grew up with Andy from MLB... damn shame that he died... Green River and my wife'sister's band (Feast) played shows together with that other Seattle juggernaut Soundgarden way way back in the day... (the sister used to design tons of album covers for Subpop too)

The good old days would be a lot gooder if heroin had never come into that scene, imo... but oh well... live like a rock star... die like a rock star
