Chances are that when MS builds the popup blocker into the next
version of IE it will probably be part of the hahahahahahahahahaha engine, so
that once disabled the window.open method will be completely
disabled on a low level. In the end no matter how your hiding the
code it will never stop the code from being what it is (a call to
window.open). As soon as window.open is called I'm sure the
new IE will know all about it no matter how it was hidden.
You could always use one of the many unpatched IE security
holes or one of the many new ones that will come with the new
version to modify their registry and change their options. Wonder
when MS will get around to patching IE.

I dont think that "modifying" peoples computers is a very good idea. But they def need some work done to fix holes.
I def done think the days of popups will be over anytime soon. disabling window.open will cause alot of good uses of the code to be put to waste, unless the have something new , and if they do , chances are it will be poor and undercoded

and have dozens more flaws
